Hermi invests in new production equipment with EENergy funding
Hermi is collaborating on an innovative project to develop a new production tool for manufacturing cable tray covers. With funding from EENergy under the SMP-COSME-2023-EENEE programme (Enterprise Europe Network Energy grants for European SMEs), the company will invest in the development of new production equipment that will optimise and, most importantly, drastically reduce the production time of Hermi cable tray covers from the current 2 minutes to just 15 seconds.
This improvement will enhance production efficiency, resulting in a faster process as more products can be produced in less time. The energy consumption per product will also be significantly reduced. In addition to energy savings, the implementation of these new tools will help us save on materials and improve the overall production process.
By participating in the programme, we commit to regularly monitoring the energy consumption of this production line and recording data both before and after the installation of the new equipment, in order to analyse the results. We believe that the project’s implementation will have a positive impact on our overall business operations and sustainability efforts.
