Celje, June 9, 2025 – Hermi’s development team and innovators have received a bronze award at this year’s Celje Regional Chamber of Commerce innovation competition for the Hermi PKPM-SPH quick clamp, designed for fastening mesh cable trays. In addition, they earned a breakthrough invention award for the Hermi SOL-S21 clamp, intended for use in wind-intensive areas.
The quick clamp was developed by Boštjan Stvarnik, while the Hermi SOL-S21 clamp is the result of the innovative work of Janez Podlipnik and Klemen Sterle.
The Hermi PKPM-SPH quick clamp is an innovative connecting element enabling fast, boltless, and tool-free installation of mesh cable trays. It is compatible with both U-shaped (KPM) and G-shaped (KPMG) mesh trays and connects two trays in sequence, regardless of whether they are cut or uncut. Installation is quick and simple, requiring just two steps: position the clamp between the trays and secure it by folding the side tabs. This process significantly reduces installation time, making it ideal for large-scale projects. The clamp is available in various materials – including galvanised, stainless steel, and powder-coated finishes – making it suitable for use in industrial, food processing, installation, and other specialised environments.
The Hermi SOL-S21 clamp for high wind intensity areas is an innovative solution for mounting photovoltaic modules to mounting systems in areas with high winds. It was developed to address the limitations of conventional middle clamps under harsh weather conditions. In regions with frequent and strong winds, traditional fasteners may loosen, causing the initial module to detach – which can trigger the so-called domino effect, where an entire row of photovoltaic modules is torn away.
The SOL-S21 clamp grips the bottom edge of the modules from beneath and secures them directly to the mounting profile. This method firmly connects two adjacent modules and increases the number of fixing points from the standard four to twelve. As the product does not interfere with the module itself, it preserves structural integrity and warranty compliance. The SOL-S21 clamp is a unique solution that enhances safety, improves mechanical stability, and ensures the system’s long-term reliability.
