Hermi receives the Sport-Friendly Company certificate
The Olympic Committee of Slovenia has awarded the company Hermi the Sport-Friendly Company certificate, confirming its commitment to promoting sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles among employees as well as within the wider community.
At Hermi, sport is not just recreation – it is part of the company culture. Organised workouts, sport-themed teambuilding events and other activities that encourage movement have become an integral part of everyday life, connecting employees and strengthening team spirit. “Sport has taught me that great goals are achieved through hard work, dedication and cooperation. These are the values we strive to live by every day at Hermi – in our relationships with colleagues, partners and the local community,” says Miran Rauter, the company’s CEO and a former Olympian who represented Slovenia at the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer.
The company’s sporting mission and sustainable orientation are also reflected in the Hermi Sports Scholarship Programme, which has been running since the 2021/22 school year. The scholarships are intended for promising young athletes under the age of 21 who successfully balance their educational and sporting commitments. They are awarded both in Slovenia and in countries where Hermi has affiliated companies, thus supporting the development of young talent at home and abroad. The fifth call for applications is currently underway, with the number of recipients increasing every year.
Hermi further demonstrates its support through sponsorships and partnerships with sports clubs at various levels – from professional teams to local associations. By regularly sharing stories about sports projects, scholarship recipients and events on its website and social media, the company strengthens its brand visibility and connects the business world with sporting values.
The effectiveness of these sports activities is reflected in the numbers: each year brings more scholarship applications, greater participation of employees in internal events, wider media reach and excellent feedback.
